Don’t Lose Me… Label Me!

April 24, 2012COMtnMom

SALE UPDATE:  Oliver’s Labels is currently running a promotion on this “Camp Package” – $20 off, now through 6/10, no coupon code necessary.

I recently had the chance to review some of Oliver’s Labels.  Known for their study, multi surface use and durability, I instantly thought of the many varied items that my two children owned, which could make good use of such a label.

Leaving me with the difficult choice of deciding which of my kids I loved more?  Kidding!

Since she is in school, and has a unique name – I decided that for the purposes of this review, I loved my daughter more.

Have a Unique Name?  Personalize On Your Own!

This was the most instant, obvious upside to me.

My name isn’t really unique, but its spelling is.  I’ve learned to cope in my adult years, but I recall vividly the episodes of disappointment throughout my childhood – searching the twirling displays of personalized pencils/magnets/key chains/coffee mugs in vain.

And sure enough, my uniquely named daughter was very surprised and very excited to see a set of “stickers” with her name on them.  And even more excited when she learned of their special use and long lasting abilities.

We carefully selected her favorite water bottle that evening, along with her favorite label for use at school the next day.   They come in different colors, each with a different picture – depending on the pattern you select.

And boy was it a hit!  Lunchtime was a barrage of questions from the other kids, “How did you get your name on that?” … “Where did you get those?!”  Equally impressed, they were.

Example of some of the great designs you can select from

Label Design & Durability

You can even run these labels through the dishwasher!  We take travel mugs, sippy cups, water bottles, and Tupperware jugs with us everywhere we go.  That the labels are durable enough to stay put, unfaded and unpeeled through such use for the long haul was a big selling point for me.

As mentioned, you select from many fun designs – even choosing your own font.

Then based on intended uses – you decide what types of labels you need.  Their site gives a good description of each to help you decide.  In summary, they have specialty labels for hard surfaces, water proof labels, bag labels, shoes or clothing labels, and even skinny ones to label your favorite pens!

Even better – you can get a variety pack, and really set  yourself up!  That way you’ll have lots of options.

We have already tried them on water bottles, inside her fabric backpack (which is fantastic… the interior is black, and a sharpie doesn’t help you out at all in that situation), and on her fabric/vinyl interior of her lunchbox.   Did I mention that I love these labels?

Lose Your Good Stuff ~ Get It Back!

Here is another thing that makes Oliver’s Labels unique and so worth the investment.  They offer a FREE helpful, anonymous Found-It Tracking System which serves as an online Lost and Found!

Participation is optional.  They can print a code on your labels, along with their website URL.  When someone finds your item, they can go to the website with this code – and Oliver’s Labels will send you a notification email.  That way, you will not have to share your personal information.  Very slick.
