Pamper Me ~ My New Favorite Comfort Item

May 18, 2012COMtnMom

As women, we all have our little tricks.  Those favorite items or routines which assist us in smoothing out the wrinkles of our emotional stress, making us feel pampered, and helping us unwind a little at the end of the day.

Maybe it’s having a glass of wine, stealing a few precious minutes to lay on the couch and read a good novel, or slipping into some lounging pants.  I now have a new item which I was pleasantly surprised to discover helps me ease into this mode nicely.

I don’t know about you, but in my mind, slippers are for cold feet.  You know, you wear them in the wintertime.

Already having a firm bond with my sheepskin slippers firmly in place, when I got to select some Nature’s Sleep memory foam slippers to review… I decided to get all wild and crazy and pick the Open Toed Slip On style.

This despite my reservations of never fully understanding the purpose of an Open Toed Slip On style slippers.

Nature’s Sleep Memory Foam Slippers – My Review

At first glance the packaging was nothing too impressive.  They come in a clear cellophane bag, no box.  (Curiously, the instep label says “QVC.com”?)

I was concerned that the instep tag may be scratchy, but once the slipper is on your foot, you don’t even notice it’s there.

A quick note about sizing.  I was advised that they are uni-sex sizing, and that I should accordingly order smaller than my normal size.  I don’t think this rule of thumb is entirely true, however.  I wear a size 9 in womens.  I ordered a size M, and found that they are a tad too small.  A large would have worked better.

Fortunately, they are so soft and molding, it’s not much of an issue.  It’s just that my heel reaches all the way to the very back of the slipper bed.

Mine are a pretty light blue, and the fabric is a nice and soft terry.  I mean really nice and soft.  They’re lovely, in fact.

And then I slipped them on.  And my feet went, “Aaaaahhhhh!  Thank you!”

Improve Your Marriage – Wear Memory Foam On Your Feet

So at this point in the review, is anyone else reminded of last week’s episode of “Modern Family”, filmed at Disneyland, where Sofia Vergara’s character is miraculously transformed, oozing with kindness?

This occurs after her husband puts some comfy Minnie Mouse slippers on her feet, instead of the high heels she initially sported for her day spent at the theme park.  Way too funny.

But I think they’re on to something here.  And it’s a very believable theory.

Get yourself some Nature’s Sleep Memory Foam Slippers.  And if your husband questions the purchase, just tell him you did it so you can be nicer to him.

And that, my friends, is what you call a win-win proposition.

Do I Really Need Slippers In the Summer?

Yes, you do.  You need some open toed memory foam slippers!  Not the same thing as regular slippers, in my opinion.

It has started warming up in this neck of the woods, as it likely has where you live, and we have even fired up the evaporative cooler on a couple of occasions.  But I have still been finding myself looking forward to slipping these on each and every day, the second I arrive home for the evening.

There’s just something about them that is very soothing.  And the design is not about keeping your feet warm.   Leaving you to enjoy wearing them in any temperature.  Now I get it.

They have become my “Pamper Myself Go-To Item”!

Where to Purchase Nature’s Sleep Slippers – 50% Off Coupon Code

You can order a pair for yourself from Nature’s Sleep, using the coupon code BEARS50 for 50% off!   Note the coupon works for your entire purchase, and it is also good towards their memory foam pillows and mattresses.

The open toe slippers retail for $25.00, and can be purchased online from Nature’s Sleep.  With the coupon code, they’d be a real steal.  This definitely gets my two thumbs up recommendation.

They come in three great colors:  lavender, light blue, and mocha.

You deserve a little pampering.  Enjoy!

I received a complimentary pair of Nature’s Sleep memory foam slippers to help me perform this product review.  But all opinions are my own.
