Healthy Skin Lifestyle With Skin Authority

Between being conscious of my aging, and my history of having facial skin cancer, I take skin care and protection fairly seriously.  I’m a firm believer that having a good skin care regimen definitely pays off in a “more-youthful-than-your-real-age” appearance (who doesn’t want that?!)  And please tell me that by now you are all using sun protection on your face!  So, so important and easy to do.

Exfoliating Cleanser

This cleansing and hydrating formula uses natural pumice and exfoliators derived from sugar cane to remove dead skin cells and calluses on the toughest parts of the body.

My skin coach Ashley selected this for me based on my request for something with that scrubby exfoliating feel, which I like.  I actually use this both in the morning and at bedtime.  It’s just right, not harsh at all, and feels like a mini massage to your face.  No drying feeling afterwards.

Super-C Serum

Liquid, concentrated Vitamin C you apply right to your skin.  Crazy, huh?  This type of product was new to me, and not comparable to anything I’ve used before.  From the research I’ve done, many would not do without it.

This Super-C Serum includes the body’s natural form of Vitamin C fortified by antioxidants for maximum absorption and is an advanced skin health technique used to increase firmness, tone, and UV defense.

TIP:  Keep this out of reach from your curious, at times naughty, 4 year old son.  I came into my bathroom one day to discover him with the lid off… all queued up to do who knows what?  Fortunately, I got there in the ta-daah nick of time!

Age Defying Moisturizer SPF 18 Full Spectrum

This is your daily protection staple.  “Full Spectrum” means you’ll have both harmful UVA and UVB rays blocked.  And combined with the Super-C serum, you get even more UV-defense.

I love that it also does double duty with some anti-aging tasks, such as retaining your skin’s moisture, calming irritation and redness, and stimulating collagen production.  A great product!

 

 Reviving Eye Brightener

A good eye cream is a very good thing to have in your arsenal.  I used to use one at night, but with a product like Reviving Eye Brightener you get the added benefit of reducing puffiness and dark circles under your eyes.   (I’m guessing *most* of us moms have “puffiness and dark circles under our eyes” when we wake up!)

I like the control offered by these pump dispensers, and find a very tiny bit of this goes a long way.   This brightener works on the underlying cause of fine lines and darkening of skin with Vitamin K, Arnica, and Green Tea extracts; along with strengthening capillaries with Ginseng and Ginko Biloba.  I think the reviving eye brightener works really well, and it leaves a pleasant, light tingling sensation for a couple of minutes after applying.

Then at night I use…

Brightening Serum

This is a light, clear serum with the consistency of a gel and it’s one of my favorite Skin Authority products.  After applying, your skin feels… well… tight.  But not in a dry, bad way.  In a very good, toned way!  Followed up with the moisturizer and my skin feels amazing.

The Brighening  Serum hydrates, helps correct sun damage, and boasts results of up to 2X over other brightening formulas.   Its job is to  even out skin tone, erase dark spots, and smooth texture.  A very important job, indeed.  Keep on trucking, Brightening Serum…!

And last, but most definitely not least…

Ultra Rich Moisurizer

Oh, boy… you’re gonna love this.  I saved the best for last!  This is truly my favorite of all Skin Authority products tried, and it’s the one I’m going to get to giveaway (yaay!)

The “Earl Grey Tea” of skin care calms redness, soothes inflammation, and restores skin’s moisture balance to even out skin tone.  Although they do not add fragrances, this moisturizer has a fantastic (almost lemony?) scent from it’s natural ingredients of Mango Seed Butter, Cranberry Seed Oil, Bergamot Fruit Oil, Shea Butter, Safflower Seed Oil, and Aloe.

Light, non-greasy, completely soothing.  It feels amazing!
