World Vision & Thirty-One Gifts Join #GivingTuesday With Hope Kits

World Vision and Thirty-One Gifts have partnered in a beautiful campaign to supply “Hope Kits” to women in poverty.  Each Hope Kit has been assembled with care, and is a tote filled with hygiene supplies which will then be donated to a woman or girl in need in the U.S.

Poverty in America is real and affects millions of vulnerable women and children every day. The Shriver Report on Women in America, released in January, provides a bleak outlook of the financial state of women and children: 1 in 3 American women –  42 million women, plus 28 million children – either live in poverty or are right on the brink of it.

I think this is a heart warming campaign, and love the thought of how each recipient will feel when they receive their lovely, much needed tote of essential items that will no doubt leave them feeling pampered for a nice change.

How can you help?

Join #GivingTuesday on December 2, 2014

Join World Vision and Thirty-One Gifts in celebrating generosity during the 3rd annual #GivingTuesday on Dec. 2, 2014.  For the first 3,100 donations made by phone (1-888-511-6588) or online to World Vision on “Giving Tuesday”, Thirty-One Gifts will donate a Hope Kit, to help a woman or girl in need in the U.S. get back on her feet.  Each kit is filled with essential hygiene supplies such as a toothbrush, shampoo, hairbrush soap and a special note of encouragement.

I’ve heard of this great company, but have yet to check out their product line.  The pictures of their prints and even [pick-your-own-color] personalization look fun and fabulous.  I’ll be trying out the Handle-It Cosmetic Bag, which seems like an ideal travel size, is nicely lined, and has easy view and access to your things.
