14 Places Kids Ski Free in Colorado

It's almost ski season in Colorado!  Many slopes have their opening this weekend.  My family is starting to make plans. and will be kicking things off in early December, with a visit to Crested Butte.  Although I'm not a die hard skier, it's something I want my kids to learn how to do.  Living in a state with the Rocky Mountains running through it makes me feel a little obligated! 5 Things I Learned Taking My Child Skiing

Neither of us being Colorado natives, and with all the (cheaper) things to do outside, my husband and I aren't big downhill skiers.  But we both want our kids to get a chance to learn how to ski.  Especially because it's so accessible where we live, if nothing else we'd like for them to be able to ski with their friends later on, and decide for themselves whether it's a passion of theirs.
