Anatomie Travel Clothes for Women
Anatomie is a women’s travel clothing company out of Miami, driven by a desire to merge high fashion with impressive performance.
Anatomie designs are inspired by European style. And to achieve having their pieces be not only attractive, but comfortable, practical, and easy to care for – they use fine French and Italian fabrics. (I love their fabrics.)
I reviewed two pieces of Anatomie’s travel wear: the Cosima Cozy Cover-Up, and the Fiora Travel Pant. I was impressed with both. Both of these items are destined to become staples in my wardrobe, for travel as well as everyday wear.
Anatomie’s Womens Travel Clothing offers:
- No need for ironing
- No need for dry cleaning
- Extremely light-weight pieces
- Fabrics will not fade
- Soft fabrics, with a give (comfortable to wear, versatile)
And not only do they not need any fancy laundering, check out what really sold me on Anatomie’s travel pants, in particular…
Anatomie’s Ultimate 10 Minute Travel Pants
Needing to travel light, and feeling the packing pinch of what to bring? Anatomie carries a range of styles in what they categorize as their designer travel pants. What’s so amazing about these 10 minute travel pants?
You can wash and wear them in your hotel room in 10 minutes!
I tested this theory out myself – washing them in the sink and then blow drying the pants with the dryer, up each leg. Ok, I wasn’t patient enough to last the whole 7-8 minute estimated drying time (and I didn’t need to put them back on immediately). But I believe it would work. The fabric dried very quickly – they were well on their way to being dry.
Anatomie Fiora Travel Pants
Anatomie travel pants are engineered for quick-drying and exceptional comfort – how can you go wrong with that combination?
I ended up calling Anatomie to have them help me with a style and size selection. I’ll bet they’d be happy to assist you too, with any similar questions – very personal service. The girl I talked to said the Fiora was their most popular style, and I decided to give them a try.
I was shocked when I pulled them from the shipping envelope. They literally weigh next to nothing! You simply won’t find a lighter weight option in travel wear.
The fabric is fantastic, and unlike anything I’ve seen before. It has an expensive look and feel to it, with a great sheen and “give” – making them as comfortable as they are attractive.
When I was debating about size, and inquired as to whether they would stretch during wear, my Anatomie contact said no. He explained that while they don’t stretch, after a few minutes of wear they will form to you. He described this as permanent set – they will give after you wear them for a few minutes. He was exactly right (I know it’s hard to describe how this is different from stretching, but it is). I’m extremely pleased with the fabric.
As far as the design of this particular pant – I love the zippered leg pockets and back pocket styling of the Fiora. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the rise. Described as a mid-rise pant, they fit me more like a high-rise.
You will find the sizing is not the traditional women’s numbered sizes, but rather on a “XS – S – M – L – XL” system. They have a whole dedicated sizing chart to help you navigate this decision, with drawings and descriptions of each pant’s design. I found this quite helpful.
For whatever reason, I always fall in a weird in-between range with that kind of sizing. Anatomie sent me two different sizes to select from, and frankly because of that amazing fabric: both of them fit, and would have worked. So I guess that’s good… you can’t really go wrong.
I’m very excited about my Fiora’s – both for comfortable, stylish everyday wear, as well as future upcoming trips (like backpacking in Europe… Hello! 10 Minute Ultimate Travel Pants!)
The Anatomie Fiora Pant comes in two colors, grey or black, and sells for $199. If this is not your typical clothing price range – they are admittedly a travel wear investment. But if you can swing it, my vote is that they are pretty great… and from what I can see they live up to the claims of being pretty much the perfect travel pants.
Anatomie Cosima Cozy Cover-Up
Anatomie also sent me this silky soft wrap – the Cosima Cozy Cover-Up. It’s very classy, yet down to earth and casual enough for almost any situation you’ll find yourself in.
The fabric has a gorgeous, slight textured pattern to it and is oh, so very soft. In the pictures above, you can see that it primarily appears black. But the picture below is a better demonstration of what it the fabric actually looks like, in better lighting.
This piece sells itself. I really love it, and have worn it quite a bit to the office at work and when dressing up to go out for dinner. It, too, is extremely light, and will always make it into my travel bag down the road.
The Anatomie Cosima Cozy Cover-Up comes in navy, grey, and black, and sells for $115. Right now the website is running a special on the Cosima, Buy 1 Get 1 Free.
Anatomie Travel Clothes for Women
Anatomie also has an enticing program available where you can find a spa, gym, etc, and arrange for you to host a trunk show there. It’s at almost no cost to you (you don’t need to purchase any inventory, you’ll just need hangers and a couple of portable racks), and both you and the hosting facility make a generous commission. A tempting proposition! Watch the video here if it interests you.
You can find Anatomie online, and I encourage you to look into them if you do much traveling. I have not seen anything equivalent of what they offer.
Anatomie provided the pieces described in this article at no cost to me, for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.
