Camp Eddy Offers Tiny Home Rental by the Colorado River
Nestled along one of the best spots in the Western Colorado’s Grand Valley sits an exciting new option for accommodations in Grand Junction, Colorado. Sitting on the banks of the Colorado River, Camp Eddy offers both tiny home rental or airstream rentals. It’s also an amazing option if looking for Grand Junction RV parks.
Just opening last Fall of 2022, I’m thrilled about this new addition to Grand Junction! How fun would it be to take a tiny home vacation? Take a look at these trendy and fun spaces, as well as why this is the perfect basecamp location for your Colorado adventures.
Camp Eddy Tiny Home Rental
We stayed in the largest Camp Eddy tiny home rental option the Monument “Not-So-Tiny” home, a two-story that sleeps 6. It was absolutely gorgeous, and we wanted to move in. The views were incredibly relaxing, and waking up to this site was bliss.
Each tiny home rental features a fully equipped kitchen with the basics for cooking, just as you’d find in a typical airbnb. There’s a cooktop, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge. I love having this option, as it’s very handy for bringing breakfast groceries or just to store and use up any tasty restaurant leftovers. Saves time and money.
Camp Eddy Airstream Rentals
I really wanted to try out one of these airstreams! Camp Eddy owners have refurbished a number of RV airstream trailers, and added an aesthetically pleasing “hygge” vibe.
They are truly gorgeous, and may even give you some inspiration if you ever considered remodeling an airstream yourself.
Gorgeous Clubhouse, Patio, and Outdoor Fireplace
The beautiful and comfortable Camp Eddy “Hub” clubhouse is a big perk, and terrific option for extra space when staying with kids. We used it for a more spacious and relaxing place to congregate our family for pizza one night, and fired up a movie on Disney+ in the TV lounge area while we ate.
My son and nephew enjoyed hanging out, trying the free hot cocoa bar, and shooting some pool.
Due to restrictions from being inside city limits, open campfires are not allowed at Camp Eddy. However, the large river front patio area offers lots of seating along with an outdoor fireplace that is the ideal spot to watch the stars come up while still keeping the chill at bay.
For campers who need additional facilities, they also have coin operated laundry machines and bathrooms with showers available for all guests to utilize.
Grand Junction RV Park with Riverfront Location
If you are familiar with Grand Junction, you know the Colorado River runs through it. There are some access points and sections of trail, but for years many areas were either blocked by tamarisks (a non-native plant that grows abundantly along the banks) or were private, undeveloped land (like car junkyards). At the risk of stirring up a debate… yeah, neither of those things were good.
The city of Grand Junction has slowly been working to clear out some of the these spaces, and open them up for the public to enjoy. Camp Eddy is located in a perfect, central location along one of these lovely cleared stretches. Camp Eddy now offering tiny home rental and an in-town Grand Junction RV park has been seen as a very positive development in our city.
It’s an excellent example of being able to get close to and enjoy the Colorado River once again!
The tiny houses and some of the airstreams literally back the river, and we enjoyed watching the ducks and geese fishing in the mornings. It’s such a beautiful spot!
Camp Eddy is a Great Place to Stay!
Grand Junction is an amazing place to visit, as shown by it’s recent inclusion in The New York Times “52 Places To Go in 2023.” So if you’re planning to come enjoy all this amazing areas has to offer, such as our wineries, peach orchards, mountain biking, river recreation, hiking, OHV trail riding, or touring the nearby Grand Mesa and Colorado National Monument… you won’t find a more centrally located spot than Camp Eddy.
So come try out a tiny home rental! Or use this awesome Grand Junction RV park as your basecamp for your outdoor adventures. Prices are very reasonable. Their airstreams and tiny homes have A/C and heating to keep you comfortable during any time of year.
My family all loved Camp Eddy, and we give it a two-thumbs up recommendation!
