Colorado Spring’s FREE “Bikes For Kids”

Summer time in Colorado brings fantastic sunny weather, and kids with plenty of time on their hands.  Bike riding is the perfect summer pastime for children.  And every child deserves to own a bike!  If you know of any child living in the Colorado Springs area, who is in need of their own bicycle – please read on. I just learned of a cool program sponsored annually by Springs Law Group – Colorado Springs Bikes for Kids.  This great promotion allows you to nominate a child to receive a free bike, helmet, and lock.

Owning a bike can bring great independence and joy to a child.  I’ve been encouraging my kids to take bike rides this summer as much as possible.  It’s an ideal activity for the them to stay active.  For my teen daughter, it’s great exercise.  And for my young son, it’s a perfect energy burner.  Some kids could greatly benefit from having a bike for transportation.

Springs Law Group Offering “Bikes for Kids”

As a firm of parents and lawyers who are child safety advocates, the Springs Law Group has started the “Bikes for Kids” campaign as part of their promotion of bicycle safety in the Colorado Springs community.  Selected deserving recipients will be awarded a new bike, helmet, and lock.

Children can be nominated by anyone.  Reasons may include anything from having a positive impact in the community, to persevering in the face of adversity.  Personally, I think not having a bike is an adversity for a child!   So if you know of a child in Colorado Springs who is in need of one, please consider nominating him or her.

To nominate a deserving child to receive a free bike via the Colorado Springs Bikes for Kids promotion, please visit their nomination page.  One child will be chosen each week throughout the summer, for a total of 8 bikes to be given away.
