Disney Surfboards Pop Century Value Resort

Disney Wordless Wednesday ~ Surf Boards!

This week’s theme:  Your December Calendar Shot

*o*     *o*     *o*

As we head into the first real month of winter, I’m gonna need a dose of Disney Summertime fun on my calendar.

Disney Surfboards Pop Century Value Resort

Ok, so this was from our January visit to Disney’s Pop Century Resort.  That’s the beauty of it… a tiny dose of “summer” for us, in the middle of our winter!  (Note from the fleece that it was not quite swimsuit weather, but that didn’t dampen our fun. Downright balmy to us!)

Now on to my favorite Disney Resort.  The lush, tropical theming and overall environment of the Polynesian is probably why it’s my favorite.  Nothin’ says vacation to a Midwest/Western gal like me more than palm trees, white sand, Ukelele music, and a Pina Colada…  (Not necessarily in that order.)

Disney Surfboards Lilo and Stitch Polynesian Resort

I would totally take surfing lessons from Stitch… wouldn’t you?

I can’t think of anything more fun than taking surfing lessons with Stitch! 🙂 I need the dose of summertime fun in December too – takes my mind off the fact that winter’s coming!!

I love that you gave us a dose of summer among all the wintery posts. 🙂 Good spin on it.

Great photo of all of you keeping warm. Coming from a cold region, a fleece in January is balmy 😉 I still remember snow during a visit in February one year. We were not too cold, but everyone was shivering from the 30-40 degree weather. On the flip side,I have photos of the kids in the splash area with Goofy at Pop Century in 90 degree weather from May ’09.

Ahh, Disney summertime, I actually prefer it when it’s cooler, but really it’s fun all year long. Great pics!

I would say the Polynesian is my favorite resort as well, even though we never have actually stayed there. 🙂

Last December when we were there, it was up in the 70s during the day, but it still felt pretty cool at night. So I was always surprised to see people in the pool at night when we would get back from the parks. I like to swim, but not that much!

I like your thinking! Sometimes in the winter we just need a little dose of summer 🙂

Ah, that’s a welcome winter picture around here too. Some nice Florida sunshine, and a Pina Colada goes a long way even when you are coming from a Mid-Atlantic state. Love your pictures! Thanks so much for sharing and for joining in on the DWW Blog Hop.

I like your thinking Tami! Being from Toronto Canada I always want a dose of summer in the winter which is why most of our visits have been in the winter months. Surfs up! I will have to find these surfboards on our next visit!

Oh yeah, a little surfing weather would be just about perfect right now, but I’m not sure venturing into the ocean with Stitch would be a very good idea. Do you not recall some of his kamikaze moves in the movie? I’d much prefer to learn how to surf from somebody calmer, like maybe Snow White in her pre-kiss stage.
