NWF “Hike & Seek” Kids Hiking Event in Denver
What a great opportunity to get your kids outside exploring nature and having some fun!
If you live in the Denver area, you’re in luck. There’s a great deal of excitement and buzz surrounding this upcoming event, with additional cities requesting to be included in the future.

Now in its third year, Hike & Seek™ is a fundraising event that crosses a nature hike and a scavenger hunt. The 1-2 mile self-paced hike has interactive “Stop & Study” nature stations (a total of five) with live animals, naturalists and so much more! You don’t need to be an experienced hiker to participate—all you need to do is show up and leave the planning to NWF. Appropriate for children of all ages, especially toddlers to age 10.
South Platte Park in Littleton is a 672-acre natural area features riparian woodlands, grasslands, and wetlands along the South Platte River.
Help give back to children what they don’t even know they have lost: a connection to nature. Eighty cents of every dollar raised around the event is given to vital NWF programs like Be Out There; programs that get kids back outside and back on track. The positive effects of daily, unstructured time outdoors on kids’ health and happiness are well-documented and wide-ranging.
