Who is ready for warm Spring weather, and a chance to get out and have some outdoor adventures?  The Orvis Womens Spring line offers fantastic fabrics, colors, and designs to add to your ready-for-anything wardrobe this season.  Taking their inspiration from nature, many of the Orvis designs are just as comfortable and practical on the trail as they can be stylish and attractive for traveling, shopping, or work at the office.

Let me show you some of the great women’s clothing pieces (and hat!) I selected from the Orvis Spring line, and why I think they are so cute and versatile.  That’s right… they don’t just make fly fishing gear, ladies!  Orvis features a range of outdoor pants, shorts, shirts, pullovers, vests, and field jackets.

#SpringIntoOrvis ~ drirelease® Tops

Let’s start with the Orvis technical fabric I was impressed with, drirelease®.

For warm weather hiking, camping, or biking, I prefer to wear a moisture wicking, quick dry top.  The Orvis drirelease® tops fit the bill perfectly, and come in a few different styles and sleeve lengths.  I loved the casual, cool look of the Floral-and-Stripe Tee.

This great top dries four times faster than cotton.  It is lightweight, very soft (actually feels like cotton to me, which I love), and features odor-inhibiting Freshguard® protection.  Translation:  Perfect hiking shirt!

Actually, I also wear mine to work because it’s totally my “Mountain Mom” style.  The fit is true to size, actually a little on the generous side, but not sloppy.  The shirttail hem is flattering and adds a touch of class.  It layers really well with a summer scarf and capris, or even a skirt.  I had a hard time choosing between the great color options:   olive, punch (orange), royal blue, and orchid.  Retails for $39.

#SpringIntoOrvis ~ Great Wardrobe Staples

Orvis Button Front Stretch Denim Skirt
Button Front Stretch Denim Skirt

I’ve been on a quest for a great denim skirt for years.  When I saw the Orvis Button-Front Stretch Denim Skirt, I knew my search was over at last.  The stretch makes it soft and comfortable, even though it’s a fitted style.  Runs true to size.  Because I’m 5’10” and prefer skirts to reach my knee… I wish it were just 2 inches longer. But it’s incredibly cute and comfortable, and a definite keeper.

Soooo many fashion options with a denim skirt!  It looks adorable with khaki, or any other fun Spring colors you pair it with.  This will be a year round wardrobe staple for me, as it looks equally cute with either boots or sandals.  Retails for $98.

#SpringIntoOrvis ~ Classic, Earthy Linen

Orvis Shoreline Linen Cropped Pant
Shoreline Linen Cropped Pant

Not exactly outdoor adventure apparel, but Orvis has gorgeous linen styles that are high quality.  Linen is a natural fiber that has been used for making clothing since the beginning of time.  I think because of that… linen clothes have such an earthy, classic, and authentic style to them.

Orvis has a wide range of amazing linen pieces:  skirts, bright spring shirts, shorts, and jackets.  Because they will go with so many things already in my wardrobe, I decided on the basic Shoreline Linen Cropped Pant. The material is thick with a nice weave, and they have a rich look to them.  They are comfortable, and have two nicely lined side pockets.

Sizing is a little tricky for me with S/M/L elastic wasted pants.  I’m a size 12, and went with M because I didn’t want them to look baggie and huge.  I wouldn’t want them any tighter in the waste or hips, and linen does shrink a bit in the wash (but it stretches out again when you wear it.)  I’m happy with the Medium.

Add a solid color top and some great jewelry and you are super comfy but looking good enough for a Girls Night Out!  The Shoreline Linen Cropped Pant comes in 5 fabulous neutral color options, for $79.

#SpringIntoOrvis ~ And Yes… This Awesome Hat

That color.

I just had to have it.  Love, love, love.  Also comes in a lovely violet hue.

This cap will see lots & lots of Colorado mountains and trees this summer.  🙂
