The Bliss of Moab in Fall
Moab, Utah is a short day adventure drive away from where my family lives. This is one of our favorite outdoor playground destinations, but you have to time it wisely. In summer… it gets blisteringly hot! Which brings me to my topic. Moab is truly blissful in the Fall, and is arguably the best time of year to visit Arches National Park.
The town of Moab is a perfect gateway and home base to some many gorgeous and exciting outdoor recreation options. From this headquarters of nature-themed adventures, you’ll find activities such as rafting, jet boating, paddleboarding, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, hot air ballooning, off-roading, horseback riding, and canyoneering. Whew!
At the top of my list would be the off-roading Jeep adventure I experienced last summer, where we were guided along a the vast system of Moab’s nearby OHV trails in 4 x 4 Jeeps. Ok, it was a little intense for me… in particular the “Hell’s Revenge” trail. But I survived, and it was quite a rush!
Yes, the thrills are plentiful in Moab!
