Things I Love About Disney World
An Ode to Disney World. Here are just a few of the things I love about you:
- Riding the Railroad train around the Magic Kingdom – 1st stop of the morning, giving us a glimpse of what they day has in store
- Girls dressed up like their favorite Princess
- Mickey shaped pretzels
- Having my ADRs all planned out and reserved, 180 days before our trip
- Imagining what it would be like to live in the Swiss Family Treehouse
- Cast Members with huge clusters of balloons for sale, on Main Street USA
- Being swept away by the sensation of a happy, worry-free, fantasy world
- The Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue
- Seeing the monorail. Riding it, even better.
- The queue for Pirates of the Caribbean
- Souvenir shopping
- Eating at a great, themed restaurant and exploring the grounds of a Deluxe Disney Resort… which we can’t afford to stay in
- Waiting for the bus to take us to the parks in the morning
- Frontierland ~ the music, snacks, atmosphere, and shooting gallery
- Nighttime Electrical Parade
- Getting a great deal on our off-season Disney trip package
- Seeing multiple generations, all with equal smiles on their faces
- Resort refillable mugs
- Character Meals ~ not sure why, since they are so chaotic…but I do
- Seeing things that remind me of childhood Disney trips, which haven’t changed a bit
- The Castle
- Spotting a character for my daughter, which she hasn’t previously met.
- Mickey’s Magical Express bus meeting us at the airport, and whisking us off to start our vacation
- it’s a small world
- Obsessing over plans, ideas, and details for our impending trip, months before we leave
- Fireworks
- Having a list of things you “Can’t wait to do next time…”
I’d love to hear – what’s on your list?

That’s a great list! I think I would agree with most all of those. And then at the end I would add, “Going back.” 🙂
