6 Awesome Disney Themed Party Ideas for Kids
Throwing a kids party can seem overwhelming. I always get nervous about details like food, and whether the kids will be entertained by my game selections? One thing that helps make it more of a certain success is picking a fun theme. I loved these awesome Disney Themed Party Ideas for kids.
Oh, we know a thing or two about Disney themed parties at my house.
I’ve featured a couple of them below, along with other theme ideas I really like.
We threw the Cars party mentioned below for my son, and it was a big hit. Pinterest saved the day by providing some clever, kid-friendly food ideas. Then I just purchased a few graphic party items to set the tone with decorations. And it never hurts to have cute plates and cups you can just throw away, for easy clean up afterwards.
Six Disney Themed Party Ideas
#1 ~Disney Theme Costume Party
This was a BLAST! Having an all Disney character theme party allows you to just go with a general Disney parks / movie decor and games. We invited my kids’ friends to dress as a Disney character they liked, and it was adorable to see what they each came up with.
Take a look at my Disney party idea post on this, for lots of photos on the games and activities we included. Disney plush toys work perfect for adding to the theme and decor. We played a Disney Parks soundtrack in the background. Party favors were themed with Mickey Mouse.
Fun was had by all!
#2 ~ Disney Cars Party
If you’ve got a pack of young boys coming to your party, a Disney Cars Themed Party is always a winner. I found lots of clever ideas for games and food on Pinterest.

#3 ~ Disney Toy Story Party
Take this Disney Toy Story party TO INFINITY AND BEYOND! Toy Story is truly one of my all time favorite Disney animated movie series. Did you know that a Toy Story 4 movie is being released this year??
This is a great choice that works well for both boys and girls.
#4 ~ Disney Moana Party
If you decide on a Disney Moana party, you absolutely must play the music soundtrack in the background. It’s fantastic!
Who doesn’t love a Hawaiian vibe? There is so much you can do to extend this Disney Moana Party with a tropical, luau theme. Limbo anyone…?
I particularly love this kit idea from Costumes Super Center because it includes a giant Moana stand up to use for pictures. Wouldn’t it be cool to stage a fun party scene complete with a near life-sized Moana, for a fun photo opp?
#5 ~ Disney The Incredibles Party
Super heros are all the rage, and I’m back in love with the Incredibles after the hilarious sequel Incredibles 2. Give every kid a mask, and you’ll have all kinds of super powers unleashed at your Disney Incredibles theme party.
#6 ~ Disney Princess Belle / Beauty and the Beast Party
So many fun touches to add from the Beautify and the Beast movie, if you go with a Disney Princess Belle theme party. Disney Family has posted a recipe for the Grey Stuff, so you can whip up some of this scrumptious mousse.
The new live animation version of Beauty and the Beast produced a fabulous music soundtrack, to set the “stage”. And here’s another stand up of Belle that the kids can use to take photos with.
I think giving each child a book as a party favor would be perfect for each little reading princess attendee.
