Disney Wordless Wednesday ~ Magic Kingdom’s Plaza Restaurant

May 29, 2012COMtnMom

This week’s theme:  Brought to you by the letter “A”

Park food is not cheap, but when we are at Walt Disney World Resort on vacation, for our family (ok, for my husband and I) it is one of our favorite aspects of the total Disney Experience .

So I never go to the Parks with out my “A” word of the day:  Appetite!

Lunch at the Plaza Restaurant (Look, it's my avatar pic!)
How cute is that Mickey shaped PB & J off the kids menu?

Since I thoroughly enjoy all the theming options when dining at Disney World, the Plaza Restaurtant is not my favorite place to eat.  But they do have some good sandwiches and fries, and will make you a fantastic banana split … besides, how cool is it to eat on Main Street, USA?

And quickly, a shameless Social Media favor request of my online Disney buddies …

In addition to my love of Disney, you’ve probably noticed that my blog features other topics: enjoying the outdoors, being active, etc.  I’ve applied to be a brand ambassador for Stonewear Designs, a women’s “active lifestyle” clothing company out of Louisville, CO.

If you have a minute, and think I’d do a good job representing them as an Ambassador, please consider posting a brief comment advocating me on their Facebook page.   It would really strengthen my chances of being selected.  Thanks so much, guys – I really appreciate the help!

Appetite is a great thing to bring to Disney World! That’s a great family pic and the Mickey Mouse PB&J is very cute – I think I might need a Mickey shaped cookie cutter so that I can make some of those at home. Good luck with your application for the Stonewear ambassadorship!!

I was thinking the same thing about the cookie cutter! Next trip I’ll look…

And thanks so much for your comment to Stonewear on their Facebook page, Lisa – I really appreciate it! It’s such a fun opportunity. I hated to imposed on my Disney blogging friends, but you guys are my main buddy circle online. 🙂

Thanks, Deb! I was liking the (Sesame Street inspired?) theme this week… looking forward to checking out everyone’s “A” brought-to-you-by inspirations. 🙂

Really appreciate the FB comment to Stonewear, too!

We don’t often eat at Plaza Restaurant, but my daughter and I ate there last month, and remembered how much we do like it.

Appetite is a great thing to have in WDW or any Disney theme park. I don’t know about others, but even with the extra eating that I do there, I usually come away 10 pound lighter. What a great place WDW is. 🙂

Well, now you’re just bragging 😉 Come to think of it, my weight is probably always about a wash on our WDW trips, which is pretty cool.

We get the Dining Plan. Which means a dessert after lunch. AND a dessert after dinner. WOOO HOOO – the only way to vacation!!! But then there’s all that lovely walking to offset it… how perfect.

      Thanks! I agree 🙂

We may make our first trip to Disneyland this winter… wondering how the chow is going to stack up?

The food was one of the best parts of our trip! I would plan our day around what we wanted to eat 🙂 Adorable pictures!

LOL – me too! It’s all about the ADRs… and then the park decision follows 🙂

Fun! We usually go the more “thrifty” route there – in other words, the counter service restaurants. But every now and then a more formal meal is fun! And if characters are involved, it is even better! 🙂

The only reason we do table service is on accounta the Dining Plan. 🙂 I love not even looking at the bill total…

I am very thrifty. And truth be told, that’s why I wasn’t super excited about our lunch at Plaza Restaurant that day. It was a spur of the moment thing, and I kept thinking, “But for this same credit, we could be doing character dining or O’Hanas or Bomas or, or, or ….” lol 🙂

I’ve never used the Disney dining plan, but I assume it’s something like in Vegas when they tell you “Go ahead, order whatever you want. It’s comped.” in which case it would be the best thing ever. So many great places to eat around the Magic Kingdom.
I think you might be a little disappointed with the choices at Disneyland though. I definitely found that they didn’t really measure up (with a couple of notable exceptions, of course).

Such cool and cute pictures! We always bring our appetite too but never got to do the dining plan. The Mickey PB&J is a great idea. Commented on Stonewear Designs for you =) Good luck!!
