The Muppets… Again!
You know what would make my day? News that Walt Disney Studios was planning to combine two of my favorite things to view, European settings and the Muppets, and produce a new movie. If they could throw in a couple of clever, funny actors, like Tina Fey and Ricky Gervais… that would be even better.
Well hey, hey – would you look at that?! It’s “The Muppets… Again!“, due in theatres March 21, 2014! I’m just all kinds of Muppet-Happy about this. It sounds fantastic, and now that we’ve got all the characters we know and love re-introduced right from the start (my main gripe about “The Muppets”), we get to hit the ground running with those loveable Muppets right from the opening scene.

Here’s a quick peek of the storyline and cast, from the PR release:
“Disney’s “The Muppets …Again!” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London.
But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.
Disney’s “The Muppets … Again!” is directed by James Bobin (who also directed Disney’s “The Muppets”) and produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman. Bobin co-wrote the screenplay with Nicholas Stoller, who is also executive producer with John Scotti. Featuring music from Academy Award®-winning songwriter Bret McKenzie, “The Muppets … Again!” hits the big screen March 21, 2014.”
