Magical Blogorail ~ My Favorite Walt Disney Quote

Welcome to those of you joining me from Disney Donna Kay and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 2nd stop on our Magical Blogorail.

Although my favorite Disney Resort is Disney World, my favorite Walt Disney quote is from the Disneyland dedication:

To me, that quote captures the essence and purpose of all Disney Parks.  And it explains why I love it just as much (possible more) as an adult parent, than I did as a child.  Indeed, it is the ultimate “happy place”, and it makes me feel like Walt is personally welcoming me – sharing this gift with me and my family, again and again.

As a grown up, here’s another beautiful part of that message.  When Walt said“…age relives fond memories of the past… “, I’m pretty sure he didn’t mean mean “reliving memories of visiting Disney as a kid”.  After all, it was at the first park’s dedication.   I think Walt meant reliving what it feels like to be a carefree kid.  This is exactly what happens to me as I approach the Magic Kingdom’s Main Street USA .  And with my first glimpse of that castle, I’m left nearly giddy with childlike abandon, every time.
